How To Change My Email On Facebook
According to Facebook: "Your Facebook email is based on your public username. Email sent out to this address goes to Facebook Messages.".
It's obvious that Facebook desires users to spend more time on their site. More time on Facebook implies more information they can collect. Emailing through the Facebook platform is one way to do so. Facebook assumes that given that we're on the platform, we might too email there also. Ahhh, not so much. Sneaking this new email into our settings without previous approval isn't really the best way to win users over.
We do have the choice about whether to use Facebook. But leaving Facebook is the modern equivalent of escaping from home. All of us know you'll return. Mwahahaha.
If you do not wish to escape but do not wish to utilize Facebook email, how do you eliminate it?
As far as I know, you can not totally remove the Facebook email. Facebook makes us believe that we can. But when we actually enter into the settings, it's not possible.
You can either:.
1). Hide the Facebook e-mail from your timeline.
2). Make the Facebook e-mail available to be seen just by you.
Keep in mind: You can Remove other of your e-mails noted, but you can not remove your Facebook email. Pretty practical for Facebook, eh?
In any of the above two cases, you'll need to get to the Settings initially.
- Click Update Information from your Profile.
- Scroll Down to Contact Info (under Standard Information) then struck Edit.
