How Do I Know Who Is Stalking Me On Facebook | Over the past couple of weeks many of my trainees insisted they know 'a method' to see who looked at your facebook profile one of the most. Normally I don't care about such 'misconceptions' but considering that it didn't pass away and trainees didn't think my 'that's difficult to work' here a short blog site post about it and the reason why it will not work.

How Do I Know Who Is Stalking Me On Facebook

The concept: Learn your facebook ID (if you don't know the best ways to do that, google it. Easy as 1,2,3), browse to your profile by means of your very own ID, ideal click, open source code and after that see your 'stalker'.

Here are some screenshots that demonstrate how it should work.

1.) Browse to your profile by means of your ID, ideal click and view page source.

2.) Look for the entry 'friendslist' in the source code.

And here the reason this DOES NOT WORK!

1.) Pals and the private information Facebook collects from them and you is their biggest excellent. They would NEVER EVER make it accesible and easy to discover. If you can discover it out like this, everybody else could discover it out too. Simply believe about the problems this may cause. That's something Facebook would never ever wish to occur since they would get into great deals of problem.

2.) This part of the source code does reveal some kind of a list, real. But it is rather likely that it reveals the good friends you are most likely to engage with. As you may now Facebook ranks your pals and the news you see and on wich position your buddies appear on your interaction with them. So if you are most likely to communicate with a good friend (say it's your sister or someone you used to talk to a lot over the previous few days) this pal will make it to the top of the list. It is NOT the individual who visited your profile the last.

3.) If you do not believe me, believe some of the other geeks and Facebook addicts out there. Example: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13789565/what-is-the-significance-of-orderedfriendslistinitialdata.

Hope that helps and the myth of 'I know who visited my profile last/ most' will finally die.

Ways You Can Block A Facebook Stalker

1. Via Your Block Lists

You can block both individuals and applications.

In Facebook, go to > Account > Privacy Settings and find the product called > Block Notes at the bottom of the page. Click the > Edit your lists connect to continue.

On the following page you can go into Facebook users by name and e-mail address and obstruct them.

If there are numerous individuals with the same name, you will see a list of matching profiles. Click the > Block button next to the person you were searching for.

2. Via Their Profile.

On each Facebook user profile there is a > Report/Block this Person link at the bottom left. Click this link and a window will pop up that permits you to make a choice.

For example, you could report the person for > Unwanted contact and examine package to > Block this person. If you choose the block, the name will appear in your Block Lists, as described above.

3. Via Their Messages.

If the person you want to block has sent you any messages, you can obstruct them by clicking the > Report link beside their name and the date the message was gotten. To see the link you need to open the message. Once you click it, a window with further alternatives will turn up.

Note that no one you block will be notified of the action. Nevertheless, if they are on your friend list, they will be gotten rid of and your profile will not be noticeable to them. Similarly, you won't be able to see their profile. You both will be unnoticeable to each other, with the exception of 3rd party applications.

If you mistakenly obstructed someone, you can quickly remove the block. Go to your Block Lists and click the > Unblock link next to the individual's name. You will be asked to verify. Unblocking an individual will not restore a previous connection.

4. Remove Your Basic Directory Site Info.

If you have a major stalker, possibilities are they will simply set up a new Facebook account as soon as you block them. In this case you should consider making your profile personal, so that complete strangers can not discover and bother you.

The first thing you must do, is eliminate as much of yourself as possible from the > Standard Directory Site Information. Go to > Account > Personal privacy Settings and click on > View Settings.

On the following page you can define who can browse and discover you on Facebook, send pal requests or messages, see your friend list, and more. For each product select carefully from the following options: Everyone, Pals of Pals, or Buddies Just.

Regrettably, you can not entirely hide yourself. Facebook specifies that "your name, profile picture, gender, and network are always available to everybody." This describes why.

5. Tighten Your Privacy Settings.

Besides limiting fundamental directory site details, you ought to likewise restrict who can see the things you are sharing. Go back to > Account > Personal privacy Settings and click the > Customize settings to adjust your > Sharing on Facebook alternatives. You can also pick from a default setting.

A new page with a list of options will open. Go through all the points and decide who you desire to see your posts, your personal info, or things others show you. You can pick from Everyone, Pals of Pals, Pals Just, or Personalize each point and make the information noticeable to only yourself or hide it from particular individuals.

Conclusion.

It goes without stating that Facebook is just one medium through which a person can stalk you. No matter how tight your personal privacy settings or how trustworthy the individuals on your buddy list are, someone determined to discover and bother you still has the rest of the web at their disposal. Make certain to treat your individual information, your contact data, and your online personal privacy in general like a raw egg.
