How To Send A Direct Message On Instagram
To send your initial DM on Instagram, take an image as you generally would. You can use just the same filters to "DM photos" as you could with all other Instagram blog posts. When you prepare to send it directly to somebody (or a team of people)-- faucet NEXT customarily.
From the Share to food selection to the top of the screen, tap DIRECT (see # 1 in screenshot listed below). Now faucet inside the Write a caption ... window, and type out your message (see # 2 in screenshot listed below).
When you're done composing your message, tap OK.
Now scroll via your list of Instagram calls and also tap the circle alongside their name to ensure that a green "check mark" shows up. KEEP IN MIND: you can choose more than one recipient if you wish to share a message or image with a team of people.
When you're ready to send out the picture as well as message, tap SEND TO (NAME).
When they open Instagram, they'll be presented with an alert on the "mailbox" symbol as highlighted in the screenshot listed below.
Upon tapping that mailbox, they'll see that a new message as been sent from you.
When they touch the message, it exists to them in the style highlighted listed below.
From here they can respond to your message.
If/when they do, you will have a notification icon in your mailbox.

When you tap the 'response' in your mail box, you'll be be able to see their response, and continue the 'conversation' if you 'd like.
