Facebook To Twitter |  So you have a Facebook page and Twitter account established for your business and you are (or should be) posting intriguing and appropriate material related to your industry routinely to engage your fans or followers.

But staying active on both networks can start to end up being a drain on your readily available marketing time, especially if like many others you get drawn into a rabbit warren of good friends and household members photos, tweets, status updates and remarks whenever you visit.

One way to save time but still seem active on both networks is to link your accounts together, either Facebook to Twitter or vice-versa, so that you just need to post when on one social media network but the exact same material is posted to the other network( s) instantly.

There are numerous methods to establish auto-posting between social networks. There are tools that can auto-post between Twitter and facebook in addition to other networks, one such tool is called IFTTT and you can learn more about it here.

However both Twitter and facebook now have alternatives to auto-post tweets/status updates to each other, and its simply a case of flicking the right switches. Whether you link Twitter to publish on Facebook or Facebook to publish to Twitter is up to you, it really depends upon which network you prefer (or is less of a time drain for you) to be on.

Facebook To Twitter

At the time of writing Facebook is actively motivating you to auto-post your material to Twitter, at the top of your welcome screen (under the search bar) may be the message ...

" Link your page to your Twitter account. You can now export your Facebook page updates to Twitter. Click here to allow this feature."

If you do see that message once you have visited to facebook then proceed and click the link. If you do not see the message then open a new browser window and paste in the following url-- http://www.facebook.com/twitter/

Click 'connect my profile to Twitter'

If you have been publishing as your page you will get a message saying "To access this page, you'll have to change from utilizing Facebook as your page to utilizing Facebook as yourself." So click to go back to using FB as your name.

( Don't stress we can set up some choices later on so only your page will be connected to Twitter and not your personal profile updates-- unless you want them to be).

Click "link my profile to twitter" and authorize FB to utilize Twitter by entering your log in information.

You will then see the following page. You want to un-check all the boxes next to your name and click 'save modifications'.

Click the button 'Connect to Twitter' next to the page you wish to connect.

You will need to authorize Twitter once again however you should not need to re-enter your information as you are currently visited.

You will now have another series of check boxes to tell Facebook which types of content you wish to auto-post. Its as much as you, but the minimum you want to include is status updates (I leave all packages inspected to share all material)-- hit save changes.

Return to using Facebook as your page. You can do this by clicking the little down arrow at the top right of the screen next to 'home' you will see a choice to 'utilize Facebook as ...' Click the button next to your page and you will now be publishing to FB as your company page.

Anything you post as your page will just be noticeable on Facebook to those who have 'liked' your page (aka 'fans') and anything you post whilst in this mode will now automatically post to your Twitter stream up until you disable the service.

Job Done.

A note about content-- Twitter just permits 140 characters per post-- Facebook permits substantially more (as much as 60,000 characters at the time of writing). Thankfully however, if you publish something larger than 140 characters to Facebook, Twitter will abbreviate it and connect back to the full post on FB.

Guarantee you start your posts with something pertinent to the primary content so that your Twitter followers are lured to click the link over to Facebook to find out more.

Ways To Link Twitter To Automobile Post To Facebook.

Connecting Twitter to Facebook is a bit more easy than the opposite method, one draw back however is that the Facebook version of your Tweet will consist of a byline below the post showing 'sent through Twitter'.

This may or may not influence your FB fans, you may get less engagement. However my guess is the majority of people wont provide it a doubt.

So lets get stuck in ...

Log in to Twitter and click the small arrow beside the profile shape. Then click 'settings'.

Then choose 'profile' and at the very bottom under your bio etc, you will see a button labeled 'Post your tweets to Facebook' hit that to sign in and authorize.

As soon as linked you will be given some alternatives. Un-check package beside profile and inspect the box beside page, select your FB page from the list.

A window from Facebook will now turn up, Click 'Allow', then click minimize your profile and its done! Now everything you tweet will automatically post to your Facebook page-- Sorted!
