Find Out Who Stalks Your Facebook | Over the past couple of weeks a lot of my trainees insisted they understand 'a way' to see who took a look at your facebook profile one of the most. Normally I do not care about such 'misconceptions' but since it didn't die and students didn't think my 'that's difficult to work' here a brief article about it and the reason it will not work.

Find Out Who Stalks Your Facebook

The concept: Learn your facebook ID (if you don't understand the best ways to do that, google it. Easy as 1,2,3), browse to your profile through your own ID, right click, open source code then see your 'stalker'.

Here are some screenshots that demonstrate how it must work.

1.) Navigate to your profile by means of your ID, best click and see page source.

2.) Look for the entry 'friendslist' in the source code.

And here the reason why this DOES NOT WORK!

1.) Pals and the personal data Facebook collects from them and you is their greatest great. They would NEVER EVER EVER make it accesible and simple to learn. If you can discover it out like this, everybody else might find it out too. Just think about the problems this may trigger. That's something Facebook would never ever desire to happen due to the fact that they would get into great deals of trouble.

2.) This part of the source code does reveal some kind of a list, true. However it is quite likely that it reveals the pals you are more than likely to communicate with. As you might now Facebook ranks your buddies and the news you see and on wich position your friends appear on your interaction with them. So if you are likely to engage with a good friend (say it's your sis or someone you utilized to talk with a lot over the past few days) this good friend will make it to the top of the list. It is NOT the individual who visited your profile the last.

3.) If you do not believe me, believe some of the other geeks and Facebook addicts out there. Example: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13789565/what-is-the-significance-of-orderedfriendslistinitialdata.

Hope that assists and the misconception of 'I know who visited my profile last/ most' will finally die.

Ways You Can Block A Facebook Stalker

1. Via Your Block Lists

You can obstruct both individuals and applications.

In Facebook, go to > Account > Privacy Settings and discover the product called > Block Notes at the bottom of the page. Click the > Modify your lists link to proceed.

On the following page you can get in Facebook users by name and email address and block them.

If there are a number of individuals with the very same name, you will see a list of matching profiles. Click the > Block button beside the person you were looking for.

2. Via Their Profile.

On each Facebook user profile there is a > Report/Block this Person link at the bottom left. Click this link and a window will appear that enables you to make a selection.

For example, you might report the person for > Unwanted contact and examine package to > Block this individual. If you go with the block, the name will appear in your Block Lists, as explained above.

3. Via Their Messages.

If the individual you want to obstruct has sent you any messages, you can obstruct them by clicking the > Report link beside their name and the date the message was received. To see the link you must open the message. Once you click it, a window with additional alternatives will turn up.

Note that nobody you block will be informed of the action. However, if they are on your friend list, they will be removed and your profile will not be noticeable to them. Similarly, you won't have the ability to see their profile. You both will be invisible to each other, with the exception of 3rd party applications.

If you inadvertently blocked somebody, you can easily eliminate the block. Go to your Block Lists and click the > Unblock link next to the person's name. You will be asked to validate. Uncloging a person will not bring back a previous connection.

4. Eliminate Your Standard Directory Details.

If you have a serious stalker, possibilities are they will simply set up a new Facebook account once you obstruct them. In this case you must think about making your profile personal, so that strangers can not discover and bother you.

The first thing you need to do, is eliminate as much of yourself as possible from the > Standard Directory Details. Go to > Account > Personal privacy Settings and click on > View Settings.

On the following page you can specify who can browse and find you on Facebook, send friend demands or messages, see your good friend list, and more. For each product select carefully from the following alternatives: Everyone, Buddies of Buddies, or Pals Just.

Sadly, you can not totally conceal yourself. Facebook states that "your name, profile image, gender, and network are always open up to everyone." This describes why.

5. Tighten Your Privacy Settings.

Besides limiting basic directory details, you must also limit who can see the important things you are sharing. Return to > Account > Personal privacy Settings and click the > Customize settings to change your > Sharing on Facebook alternatives. You can also select from a default setting.

A brand-new page with a list of options will open. Go through all the points and decide who you wish to see your posts, your individual info, or things others show you. You can select from Everybody, Buddies of Pals, Pals Only, or Tailor each point and make the info noticeable to only yourself or hide it from specific people.

Conclusion.

It goes without saying that Facebook is simply one medium through which a person can stalk you. No matter how tight your privacy settings or how trustworthy the individuals on your pal list are, somebody figured out to find and pester you still has the rest of the web at their disposal. Make sure to treat your individual info, your contact information, and your online personal privacy in basic like a raw egg.
